U18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) is pleased to announce the athletes and staff selected for Team OWHA Blue and Team OWHA Red to compete at the U18 National Women’s Championship in Conception Bay South and Mount Pearl, Newfoundland & Labrador from November 2nd to November 8th, 2025.
The U18 National Women’s Championship is a highly recognized competition that showcases the best amateur athletes from across Canada. With an unwavering commitment to excellence and a history of producing top tier athletes and coaches, the OWHA is pleased to have these individuals represent Ontario at this prestigious event. Through years of tough competition, Team OWHA has persevered to capture 15 consecutive U18 National Women’s Championships.
“Selecting forty players and breaking them down into two teams to represent the OWHA at the U18 National Women’s Hockey Championship is never an easy task with the abundance of talented female hockey players within the program”. Said OWHA Lead Scout, Director of Development Brian Hart. “We are very excited about this group of athletes selected to represent Ontario on Team OWHA Blue and Team OWHA Red at the U18 National Women’s Championship and feel both teams should be very competitive at this event. This is an excellent opportunity for this group of athletes to participate and grow their game competing against some of the top players, and teams from across the country.”
This is a special season for the OWHA as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, 5 decades of working together for the advancement of girls’ and women’s hockey at all ages and levels of participation including High Performance programming, noted Fran Rider, President/CEO, OWHA. “Many exceptional women who have come through the OWHA are now leaders in the sports, business and professional worlds.”
