The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association has and continues to work with other member partners to establish health and safety measures as well as protocols for coaches entering the upcoming  season.

Please read the following OWHA Clinic Cancellation & Refund Policy  

OWHA CLINIC CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY 

PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines and procedures for ALL cancellations and refunds regarding OWHA clinics.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. The OWHA does not cover travel or any other expenses for participants to attend any clinics.

2. Transferring from one clinic to another can only be provided between the same format of OWHA clinics (i.e. Online can only transfer to Online, In-person can only transfer to in-person if applicable, etc).

3. The OWHA will notify registered participants when clinic demographics have changed or when a clinic has been cancelled.  Email notification will be sent to the email address on your HCR 3.0 profile.

4. It is the responsibility of the participant to notify the OWHA in writing of their wish to cancel their clinic registration. Notifications must be emailed to clinics@owha.on.ca.

CLINICS REMINDERS 

• When notice of cancellation is provided to the OWHA less than five (5) business days prior to the start date of the clinic, a refund will be subjected to a 15% cancellation fee of the clinic cost.

• When notification to the OWHA is not provided prior to the start date of the clinic, no refund will be provided and clinic transfers will not be completed. All extenuating circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

• If your clinic consists of Online components and you have started or completed the component, the fee for the course/clinic will not be refunded under any circumstances.

• Once you have registered for a clinic with a member partner, you cannot switch to another clinic being offered by another member partner. You must be removed for the original clinic before you can register for another. (ie: if you register for an OMHA clinic, you will not be able to attend an OWHA clinic without first contacting the OMHA to be removed from their clinic and re-registering for the OWHA clinic.)

• If there are not enough participants enrolled to run the clinic, the OWHA will notify all registered participants of the cancellation.

• If the participant fails to acknowledge cancellation and travels to the clinic location (if clinic is in person), the OWHA is not responsible for any related expenses including, but not limited to, travel expenses and the cost of the clinic.

• Registered participants will be moved to the next available clinic of equal value or given a full refund if they are not able to attend the next available clinic.
